Multi pastel pencil holder

This pencil holder is decorated mainly with a gorgeous hank of beads I got from York Beads, my favorite NYC shop that is closing next month. I mixed the multicolored strands with pinks, opalescence, and orange seed beads. I think it looks festive. Early spring. Easter egg colors.

Purple multi tape dispenser

There's still some glue drying to be done here. And I'll probably re-take photos in natural light, as this looks much nicer in real life than in these pics...

But, this purple and pink and blue tape dispenser is quite dynamic and fun, in spite of the opaque glops of glue...

Cake-like small pink box

This small pink and lilac box has green accents and bead-on-bead action. The colors are a little deeper and prettier in real life.  A friend commented that it looks like a cake.

Frothy pink tissue box

This glimmering, frothy, pinks on pinks tissue box has been completed just in time for my cold. It is made from a wide array of different hot pink and baby pink beads and gems, many varied sheens and hues.

Vintage illustrations pencil holder

Inspired by the Christmas-y tissue box, I continued to work with the vintage illustrations on this pencil holder. I framed each image on each side and used a rustic lined pattern to surround it.

regal and wacky orange and purple

Although a little off center in the front, this orange and purple tape dispenser is fun, festive, and funky. I'm calling it, "Royal".

Christmas-y tissue box

I'm enthralled with this vintage-looking Christmas-y tissue box I just finished. The glass rounds feature vintage illustrations of women and the red and green beads make it seem like a holiday wreath! It really has a special feel to it.

Blue and purple box

I'm really pleased with this blue and purple box. These photos don't do justice to the deep and rich colors. They match one of my favorite pieces, "Double Wide".

Pale yellow and baby blue tape dispenser

Milky pale yellow and baby blue beads were applied to this vintage, 1960s, pale mint green tape dispenser. It has a real sweet look, and though I don't usually name my wares, I'm calling this one "baby's blanket".

Chunky ruby red and multi-colored stapler

One side of this chunky ruby stapler is still drying, but I was very excited to share it. It has deep reds, hot pinks, iridescent oranges, and even some blues and greens in it.  Applied using the freestyle technique and the same mixture I used on my most recent pencil holder. I think they both look fantastic.

Freestyle Ruby Red Pencil Holder

I continued my freestyle chunky funky technique on this pencil holder using deep and sparkling reds, hot pinks, shimmering oranges, and the occasional green and blue. I think it looks smashing, though I think this style is less interesting and sophisticated than my other ways of beading. Still, it's a looker.

(And yes, that's a cat lounging behind it in the last photo.)
